Brandon has our anniversary week off at FedEx and we'd REALLY like to take advantage of it and go somewhere, but we can really only be gone from Sunday (9/13) thru Thursday (9/17) because we have weddings both weekends, and we'd like to do something on the cheap. Any suggestions or input would be GREATLY appreciated!! (Plus I'd really like to take Palin along with us!)

A few ideas that I've thought of:

1.) renting a cabin in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Brandon doesn't seem too excited about this because we spent a couple of days in Gatlinburg during our honeymoon and we were bored. I just thought it would be nice to relax and take Palin. And I'd like to go to the National Park.

2.) driving up through MI to Mackinaw Island. There are some dog-friendly places on the island.

3.) going to the Myrtle Beach area.

4.) taking a road trip to some of the places featured on the Food Network......especially DDD. This would be great, but I know how restless I get in the car after a few hours.

5.) NYC. This has been ruled out due to IT'S EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!

6.) Washington, D.C. This may not be a good idea because Brandon may get himself arrested.

7.) Las Vegas. We can find really cheap hotels, but then we have to pay for the flight!

For all of my local friends that love to go to garage sales, tomorrow (05/09) is the Heartland Crossing Spring Garage sales. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood (that includes several thousand homes) and in the past there are typically LOTS of sales. We won't be here (once again! We always have something going on), but I thought I'd let everyone know. The times are 8 - 3:30.
